my family photoshoots are an experience that will leave you feeling more of a deeper connection with your family than before. An experience that you will treasure and remember. We will go for an adventure in a windswept field, take in the sunset as you hold your loved ones close in the long grass, belly laugh as you watch your children play aeroplanes around you.
I’m a leeds family photographer that loves the wild and the free. I am passionate about creating beautiful family portraits with you in them.. that show off your family’s unique personality and that you will love for years to come! As a parent I understand that we take hundreds of pictures of our children, striving to capture their ever changing expressions and little quirks but rarely get the opportunity to have images including us in them.
Family sessions are full of big squeezes, belly laughs and silliness. A time to pause from the chaos and take in a moment to really appreciate what you have. I provide gentle direction and focus on natural posing to bring out candid and genuine smiles, love and conection.
My family sessions are led by your children doing what they do best, exploring the word around them. I want them to be free, explore and have fun being themselves.. When you are relaxed that is when I create my magic.. Magic that goes beyond the superficial. Magic what makes your family truly unique.

THE LOCATION
My cosy garden studio is situated in Gomersal, West Yorkshire. it is easily accessible from Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield, Wakefield and Halifax. The stunning studio creates an experience you will never forget! It is light, airy, clean and tidy and may I add, very warm!!
Whether you would like a cosy studio experience or you would like to take the session outside, I got you!! Location scouting is my absolutely favorite thing to do! I have some beautiful locations up my sleeve..
As a leeds family photographer, I love family sessions at ‘golden hour’ before sunset. It is when the light hits at the most flattering point and here, we create some incredible, emotive and artistic photos. You may, however, want to go on a wild adventure on the moors or dip into a river. It is your own families session, and I want it to really connect with you all!!
Client Closet
The fun part!! I have curated the most beautiful and luxurious selection of dresses in my leeds family photography studio, most are from small and sustainable brands that make you feel like a goddess. I have carefully hand picked dresses that fit with my brand and dresses that flatter your beautiful figure. It is such a crucial part of my service, ensuring that you feel confident for our session.. So I have put together a guide for you so that you can get an idea of what dress to wear for the session.
It will be cleaned, steamed and ready for you to wear.. All you need to do is your hair and makeup (If you wear it!) how you like it. For the littles, I have a selection of outfits for babies and children up to the ages of 4. Again, I will send a guide out which will detail the little closet. If you would like, we can arrange for you to try on your dress a few weeks before our session!! For your bub, I have some beautiful, unique wraps and outfits that will all match with my brand.
Posing
As a Leeds family photographer, my approach to the session is that I want it to look and feel natural. I don’t want your photographs to be a carbon copy of someone else’s…
I will give you guidance in where to look, what to do, how to position yourself and where to place your hands.. But it is the in-between moments that I love to capture! They’re the moments that reflect the real and the raw.

When is the best time to have a Family shoot?
Right now!!
How much is the deposit?
£95, this is deducted from your package price when you choose your package. There is no need to choose a package until you come to view your images at your face to face viewing and ordering session.
Where will my session take place?
I offer studio sessions in my Gomersal garden studio, as well as outdoor sessions which we can discuss during your initial consultation.
Can I wear one of your dresses?
Yes of course! After our initial consultation I will send you a brochure which illustrates all of my dresses and outfits for your little ones.. So you will get a feel for what I have before the session. You are even welcomed to come and try on before your shoot!
Do you have outfits for my children?
I have invested in some beautiful and unique outfits for your children up to the ages of 4. If you have older children, just let me know as I may just have something!! You will see the outfits in my brochure after your initial consultation.
What do I need to bring to my session?
If you decide not to wear one of my dresses, you just need to bring your outfit. If you have a little one already and forgot something.. Don’t worry, I always have spare wipes and nappies!!
Do you provide drinks at the studio?
In the studio I provide tea and coffee, juice and canned drinks. You never know, you may even get some sweet treats, too!!
Can I change the date after I have booked?
Yes of course! I know what it’s like having children, something always seems to crop up! If you or your child are ill on the day, just let me know and we can reschedule. For anything else, I need 48 hours notice at least, otherwise a rebook would require another deposit.

We arrived to the studio with such a warm, inviting welcome from Kate, immediately we felt at ease.
Kate clearly has a lot of experience with young children and was so patient and friendly.
Kate is an absolutely fabulous photographer and gave clear directions. She took hundreds of photos to make sure she gets them perfect shots.
We loved coming back to the studio to view the photos, it felt like it had a bit more of that personal touch.
The photos were absolutely stunning and we’ve already booked in for another shoot. Would recommend to anyone who wants beautiful, lasting memories of their young family photographed!
Kate is amazing!
We had our newborn shoot with her when our little boy was just a few days old. She was so lovely, relaxed and welcoming (which is so important when you are a few days post partum). She is incredible at what she does!

I was nervous beforehand being out of the house with my baby but she made me feel at ease and comfortable in her lovely studio. There’s a wide range of outfits to choose from to wear for you and baby and they are all beautiful.
